Can you imagine a world without Paula Deen encouraging every single one of us to add an extra stick of butter to any meal? If your answer is no then prepare yourself… because she won’t be sending love and best wishes from her kitchen to ours any longer.
That’s right. Moments after the 66-year-old Georgia peach posted not one but TWO videos begging for forgiveness after admitting to use the N word, The Food Network announced Friday they are giving Miss Paula a swift kick in the butt.
“Food Network will not renew Paula Deen’s contract when it expires at the end of this month.”
Seems as though the network isn’t the forgive and forget type.
But even after a rough couple of days, Paula is keeping to her southern charms and parting ways with The Food Network as classy as she possibly can.
Instead of making a third video, she addressed the situation in a different manor having nothing but kind words saying:
“I have had the pleasure of being allowed into so many homes across the country and meeting people who have shared with me the most touching and personal stories. This would not have been possible without the Food Network. Thank you again. Love and best dishes to all of ya’ll.”
At least we will all be able to get one last touch of southern hospitality on a Saturday morning thanks to Paula Deen.
