Let’s just say if the world really does end on Friday December 21st, TATE STEVENS will die one happy man!

That’s right all you members of #TateNation, the 37-year-old Missouri native was crowned the winner of the 2012 X Factor. And to top it off, he won a hefty amount of money, $5 million to be exact written by Simon Cowell himself.

In between the tears of joy and trying to catch his breath, Stevens began his well deserved career by thanking the people who helped him along his journey.

“First and foremost I have to thank the man upstairs for taking care of me,” he said. “To my family all the county music fans, God bless you. Thank you so much for the votes. This is the best day of my life!”

As for his mentor throughout the entire competition, LA Reid couldn’t have ended his time with The X Factor any better!

“Congratulations to you. You deserve this,” Reid said to Stevens. “I’m proud to work with you. I think you represent ‘X Factor’ really well, on behalf of myself and ‘X Factor’ judges, congratulations!”

Rounding out the top three was the oh so adorable 13-year-old Carly Rose Sonenclar who has probably been Tate’s biggest competition due to the fact that they both had been ranked number one and two every single week. Coming in a very impressive third place were the ‘underdogs’ and amazing girls of Fifth Harmony.

And even though the suspense was killing us all from the very beginning of the finale to find out who came out on top, the producers definitely knew how to end the season on a high note!

The boys of One Direction took the stage for a second time this season singing their hit song ‘Kiss You’ leaving girls everywhere wanting a kiss or two from Harry, Liam. Louis, Niall, and Zayn! But they weren’t the only performers to rock the stage.

Viewers were treated to a special performance by Mr. 305 himself, Pitbull, who blew everyone away with singing his smash hit ‘Don’t Stop the Party.’

So what all have we learned by the 2012 X Factor results…?

That good things come to those who wait for it… just ask Tate Stevens!
