It’s official- royal baby cries will soon fill the halls of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s palace!
That’s right, after months and months of speculation, the St. James Palace announced on Monday that Kate Middleton and Prince William are expecting their first bundle of joy.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby,” the palace said in a statement. “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
“The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in central London with hyperemesis gravidarum,” the statement continued, noting Middleton’s bout with an acute morning sickness. “As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter.”
So just how far is Kate into her pregnancy?
It’s rumored that the mama-to-be isn’t even 12 weeks pregnant but was forced to share her royal secret due to her visit to the hospital.
“The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news,” the palace said.
And no matter what the gender is, Prince William and Kate’s first born child will likely be the heir of the British throne.
Congrats to my favorite royal couple!
