It seems as though Zayn Malik has been living up to his notorious bad boy persona after ex Australian stripper, Courtney Webb, got her two minutes of fame after revealing she slept with the 20-year-old despite of him dating Perrie Edwards.
But Malik just might be saying enough is enough!
Now, for all you directioners… you may want to sit down for this one!
Because Celebuzz.com has reported that 1D’s record label management fears that Zayn is “on the brink of walking away from the band.”
The source claims that the hunk has been “in a haze” as he’s been trying to get out of the media’s spotlight following the cheating reports.
But one of the hardest parts for him is being away from his very close knit family, the insider continued.
With word spreading like wildfire around the bands record label, Simon Cowell felt it was time to step in and take action. According to Celebuzz the oh so famous XFactor judge is “promising he will not overwork Malik or his bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan. Cowell has even offered Malik extra time off.”
But with being in one of the biggest boy bands in the entire world, comes a lot of time on the road. And unfortunately for Zayn, 2013 seems even busier then 2012 was… by a lot! They’ve already kicked off the new year with their very first trip to Japan, and now they’re getting ready for their tour which starts in London on Feb. 23rd and won’t end until Nov. 3rd in Japan. And with that, One Direction is setting up to promote their highly anticipated 3D movie which is geared to hit theaters in August.
So for now Malik “feels that the last six months have been his toughest yet in the band,” the insider reveals.
“Even before the cheating scandal, Zayn was steering clear of nights out with his bandmates and sometimes would skip media events. He has been quite low at several points when being away for key family celebrations. But his pals have cheered him up. People forget he is the shyest member.”
No matter if you are the shyest person or most outgoing, being in one of the biggest bands EVER comes with a price. And for some, it’s the battle to keep that squeaky clean image.
“Every step 1D makes is scrutinized and judged by the public and media. Their reputation as role models to teens is also weighing heavy on his shoulders as it is not natural for him to be bright, bubbly and smiley twenty-four seven.”
According to the insider, poor Zayn feels as though HE himself has ruined One Direction’s reputation after Courtney Webb decided to post a picture of Malik while he was sleeping to prove to the world that she did indeed sleep with him.
“Zayn feels that being caught out with Courtney has made the band look bad, and is still worried about how bosses will react in the long run.

But no matter how hard Webb, 21, tried to defeat him, Malik ran into Perrie’s arms to confess to his mistakes.
It really sent him into a tail spin. He had a mixture of emotions — guilt for his cheating, anger for being led astray by the girl, shame for the world finding out, upset at how his bandmates and management would react and doubt about whether he would still have a place in the band.”
So what did his management think about everything that has happened the last few weeks?
“No one in the management wants Zayn to leave or even consider quitting, with days to go before their biggest tour ever. He is a lovely, caring and funny chap — but there is no doubt fame has changed his outlook,“
And as for his family…
“Some feel he is in a fragile state,” the source said. “There are certain members of his family who have told him if he is unhappy with the money made so far he could walk away.”
